Chicken Bhuna Masala


Ingredients
  1. Boneless chicken - 500 gms (cut into small strips)
  2. Onion - 2 nos (finely chopped)
  3. Tomato puree - out of 3 nos
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 2 Tsp
  5. Chilli - 2 nos
  6. Yoghurt - 1 cup
  7. Almond powder - 2 Tbsp
  8. Garam masala - 1 Tsp
  9. Red chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  10. Pepper powder - 1 Tsp
  11. Coriander powder - 2 Tbsp
  12. Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
  13. Salt - to taste
  14. Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsp
  15. Oil - 3 Tbsp


Preparation

  1. Marinate chicken pieces with yogurt, salt, red chili powder. Keep this aside for minimum 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add sliced onion. Saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, sliced chilies.
  4. Saute for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add all spice powders and saute until the raw smell goes.
  6. Add marinated chicken pieces and cook it covered for 8 minutes.
  7. Open the lid and mix almond powder, coriander leaves.
  8. Let the gravy thickens and switches off the flame after that.
  9. Serve hot with Appam, Chapati or Roti
