Capsicum Chicken Fry || Shimla Mirch Murgh || Chicken Shimla Mirch


Ingredients


  1. Chicken - 500gms
  2. Ginger-garlic paste - 2 Tbsp
  3. Kashmiri chilli powder - 1.5 Tbsp
  4. Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
  5. Salt - to taste
  6. Lime juice - 1 Tsp
  7. Onion - half an onion
  8. Capsicum - 1 cup
  9. Tomato - 1/2 cup
  10. Curry leaves - 1 Tbsp
  11. Coriander leaves - 1 Tbsp
  12. Oil - for frying
Preparation
  1. Marinate chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, garam masala, salt, lime juice & keep it aside for 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onions. When it becomes transparent, add capsicum-tomato pieces.
  3. After 2 minutes, add marinated chicken pieces, cover and cook for 15 minutes .
  4. After 15 minutes, open the lid and mix everything well.
  5. Cook on low flame for another 10 minutes till all water is gone.
  6. When the chicken becomes dry, switch off the flame.
  7. Serves best with ghee rice, chapathi or paratha.
