Capsicum Chicken Fry || Shimla Mirch Murgh || Chicken Shimla Mirch
Ingredients
- Chicken - 500gms
- Ginger-garlic paste - 2 Tbsp
- Kashmiri chilli powder - 1.5 Tbsp
- Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Lime juice - 1 Tsp
- Onion - half an onion
- Capsicum - 1 cup
- Tomato - 1/2 cup
- Curry leaves - 1 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 1 Tbsp
- Oil - for frying
Preparation
- Marinate chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, garam masala, salt, lime juice & keep it aside for 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onions. When it becomes transparent, add capsicum-tomato pieces.
- After 2 minutes, add marinated chicken pieces, cover and cook for 15 minutes .
- After 15 minutes, open the lid and mix everything well.
- Cook on low flame for another 10 minutes till all water is gone.
- When the chicken becomes dry, switch off the flame.
- Serves best with ghee rice, chapathi or paratha.
