Rawa Upma / Sooji Upma


Ingredients

  1. Rawa                                                -  2 cups
  2. Onion(finely chopped)                     -  1 medium
  3. Green chillies                                    -  2 nos
  4. Ginger                                               -  1 inch piece
  5. Carrots chopped                                -  1/2 cup 
  6. Boiled green peas                             -  1/2 cup
  7. Split black gram skinless                  -  2 tsp
  8. Mustard seeds                                   -  3/4 tsp
  9. Hot Water                                          -  4 cups
  10. curry leaves
  11. Oil
  12. Salt
Preparation 

  1. Chop onions, green chillies and ginger.Heat oil in a non stick pan and splutter mustard seeds and urad dal.
  2. Add curry leaves, ginger, green chillies, onion and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add rawa and saute for another 1 minute.
  4. Now pour hot water into this and required salt.
  5. Close the lid and when half of the water is absorbed, add vegetables.
  6. Cook till all the water is absorbed.
  7. Serve hot.
