Chicken Al-Faham

Chicken Al-Faham is popular Arabic dish with chicken marinated in spices and barbequed in the charcoal grill or oven.we must have tried this from restaurants but believe me, it is very easy to make this at home.Try this and please let me know your feedbacks.


Ingredients
  1. Chicken - 1 medium ( cut into 4 pieces)
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  3. Green chillies - 2 nos
  4. Onion - 1 
  5. Tomato - 1 
  6. Cashew nuts - 10 nos
  7. Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  8. Curd -  4 tbsp
  9. Cumin seed powder - 1 tsp
  10. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  11. Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  12. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  13. Vinegar - 2 tsp
  14. Salt - to taste
  15. Olive Oil - for brushing
Preparation
  1. Wash the chicken pieces and wipe off the water using a towel.
  2. Make deep insertions in each piece.
  3. Soak cashew nuts in water and grind this to a smooth paste.
  4. Grind onion, tomato, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  5. Marinate chicken with all ingredients except oil.
  6. Keep this for 4 - 5 hours.
  7. Heat barbeque well in advance, to get charcoals burning well when required.
  8. Arrange this chicken pieces over the grill rack.

  9. Brush oil on both sides in every turn while roasting.
  10. Grill this chicken pieces till it is cooked well.
  11. Serve hot with Khuboos, garlic sauce, tomato sauce, hummus and vegetable salad.

      You can use lime juice or yoghurt instead of curd.
