Rawas Fry
Ingredients
- Rawas - 250 g
- Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seed powder - 1/4 tsp
- Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
- Garlic - 7 cloves
- Shallots - 4 nos
- Curry leaves - few
- Vinegar or lime juice - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for frying
Preparation
- Grind all ingredients except fish and oil to a smooth paste.
- Marinate the fish with this masala for 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry fish pieces on medium flame on both sides.
- Garnish with fried green chillies, onions and curry leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
