Rawas Fry



Ingredients

  1. Rawas - 250 g 
  2. Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  4. Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Cumin seed powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  7. Garlic - 7 cloves
  8. Shallots - 4 nos
  9. Curry leaves - few
  10. Vinegar or lime juice - 1/2 tsp
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil - for frying
Preparation
  1. Grind all ingredients except fish and oil to a smooth paste.
  2. Marinate the fish with this masala for 2 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry fish pieces on medium flame on both sides.
  4. Garnish with fried green chillies, onions and curry leaves.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice.
