Onion Pakoda / Ulli Vada


Pakoras are hot, crispy and delicious Indian snack which is made with gram flour, spices and any main ingredient like potato, onions, paneer, chicken etc.This is a favourite tea time snack in India which is available in almost all snack shops.
Ingredients
  1. Onion - 4 nos (finely chopped)
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  3. Green chilly - 2 nos ( finely chopped)
  4. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  5. Curry leaves - 1 
  6. Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Cumin seed powder - a pinch
  8. Besan / kadalamavu - 2 tbsp
  9. Maida - 2 tbsp
  10. Rice flour - 1 Tsp
  11. Asafoetida - a pinch
  12. Salt - to taste
  13. Baking soda - a pinch
  14. Oil - for frying
Preparation
  1. Take all ingredients in a bowl except oil and mix it well.
  2. Keep this aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Take a little amount of mixture and drop this in hot oil.
  5. Fry it on low flame till this becomes golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with ketchup or Green chutney.
