Onion Pakoda / Ulli Vada
Pakoras are hot, crispy and delicious Indian snack which is made with gram flour, spices and any main ingredient like potato, onions, paneer, chicken etc.This is a favourite tea time snack in India which is available in almost all snack shops.
Ingredients- Onion - 4 nos (finely chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Green chilly - 2 nos ( finely chopped)
- Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1
- Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seed powder - a pinch
- Besan / kadalamavu - 2 tbsp
- Maida - 2 tbsp
- Rice flour - 1 Tsp
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Baking soda - a pinch
- Oil - for frying
Preparation
- Take all ingredients in a bowl except oil and mix it well.
- Keep this aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Take a little amount of mixture and drop this in hot oil.
- Fry it on low flame till this becomes golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with ketchup or Green chutney.
