Peshawari Mutton
Ingredients
- Mutton - 1 kilo
- Onion - 6 nos (finely chopped)
- Tomato - 4 big (finely chopped)
- Green chillies - 6 nos
- Ginger - garlic paste - 4 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
- Mint leaves - 2 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Pepper powder - 2 tbsp
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Curd - 3 tbsp
- Oil - 4 tbsp
- Clean mutton and cook with 1 tbsp pepper powder, 2 tbsp ginger - garlic paste, salt with little water in a pressure cooker for 8-9 whistles.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a Kadai and add cooked mutton pieces with remaining ginger - garlic paste.
- Saute for 2 minutes and remove mutton from oil.
- In the same Kadai, add remaining oil, chopped onion, coriander leaves, curry leaves, mint leaves, green chillies and saute this for 2 minutes.
- Add curd, red chilli powder, pepper powder, garam masala, coriander powder.
- Mix the masala for 2 minutes till raw smell goes.
- Add mutton pieces, tomatoes, vinegar and saute for another 2 minutes.
- Close the Kadai with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with chapati, ghee rice or tandoor roti.
