Peshawari Mutton


Ingredients
  1. Mutton - 1 kilo
  2. Onion - 6 nos (finely chopped)
  3. Tomato - 4 big (finely chopped)
  4. Green chillies - 6 nos
  5. Ginger - garlic paste - 4 tbsp
  6. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  7. Mint leaves - 2 tbsp
  8. Curry leaves - 2 tbsp
  9. Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  10. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  11. Pepper powder - 2 tbsp
  12. Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  13. Vinegar - 1 tsp
  14. Salt - to taste
  15. Curd - 3 tbsp
  16. Oil - 4 tbsp
Preparation
  1. Clean mutton and cook with 1 tbsp pepper powder, 2 tbsp ginger - garlic paste, salt with little water in a pressure cooker for 8-9 whistles. 
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a Kadai and add cooked mutton pieces with remaining ginger - garlic paste.
  3. Saute for 2 minutes and remove mutton from oil.
  4. In the same Kadai, add remaining oil, chopped onion, coriander leaves, curry leaves, mint leaves, green chillies and saute this for 2 minutes.
  5. Add curd, red chilli powder, pepper powder, garam masala, coriander powder.
  6. Mix the masala for 2 minutes till raw smell goes.
  7. Add mutton pieces, tomatoes, vinegar and saute for another 2 minutes.
  8. Close the Kadai with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with chapati, ghee rice or tandoor roti.
