Chilli chicken

Ingredients
  • Chicken - 250 g
  • Oil - For frying
  • Coriander leaves - For garnishing
For marination
  1. Soya sauce - 1 1/2 tsp
  2. Red chilli sauce - 2 tsp
  3. Egg - 1
  4. Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Corn flour - 3 tbsp
  6. Maida - 3 tbsp
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tbsp
For Seasoning
  1. Onion - 1 (cubed)
  2. Garlic - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  3. Ginger - 1/2 tsp
  4. Capsicum - 1/2 cup (cubed)
  5. Green chillies - 2 (slit)
  6. Spring onion - 1 sprig (chopped)
  7. Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
  8. Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  9. Soya sauce - 1 tbsp
Preparation
  1. Marinate the chicken with ingredients under marination and keep this for at least 1 hour or 2 hours is best.
  2. Deep fry the chicken pieces and drain on a kitchen tissue.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add garlic, ginger.
  4. After one minute, add onion, capsicum, Green chillies, spring onion.
  5. Fry till they become soft for about a minute.
  6. Pour all sauces, sugar and let the sauces  bubble up well.
  7. Add the fried chicken pieces, mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
