Sabudana vada / Sago vada


Ingredients
  1. Sago - 1 cup 
  2. Potato - 1 (grated)
  3. Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
  4. Green chillies - 2 nos (finely chopped)
  5. Curry leaves - 1 sprig (finely chopped)
  6. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  7. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  8. Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  9. Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Oil - for frying
Preparation
  1. Soak sabudana in water for 30 minutes.Drain excess water completely and keep it aside for 6 hours.
  2. Take grated potato and squeeze out water by pressing in between hands.
  3. Add chopped chillies, onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, chaat masala, rice flour, soaked sabudana and salt.
  4. Mix all ingredients well and adjust salt according to your taste.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Wet both hands, take out medium sized balls from mixture and flatten it between palms to get the shape of vadas.
  7. Deep fry over medium heat till it turns crisp and brown colour on both sides.
  8. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
