Jaggery Modak || Gud ka Modak || Cashew Rice Modak || അരിയുണ്ട


Ingredients
  1. Boiled Rice(Ukda rice) - 300 gram
  2. Cashew nuts - 200 gram
  3. Peanut - 100 gram
  4. Grated Coconut - 1 no
  5. Jaggery (Gud) - 300 gram
Preparation
  1. Clean the rice in running water and drain it.
  2. Heat a kadai & roast it till golden brown in colour.
  3. Popping of the rice stops when it is ready.
  4. Similarly, dry roast cashews & peanuts.
  5. Remove peanut skin and allow this to cool.
  6. Grind cashews, rice & peanuts separately.
  7. Melt jaggery with 1/4 cup of water.
  8. Sieve rice powder to remove coarse pieces out.
  9. Add ground cashew,  peanut & coconut to this.
  10. Add melted jaggery and mix everything nicely.
  11. Take Modak mould and start shaping it.
  12. Our yummy jaggery modak is ready.
