Chicken Kabab

Ingredients
  1. Boneless chicken                        – 1/2 kg (cut to small cubes)
  2. All purpose flour                         – 1 1/2 tbsp
  3. Corn flour                                    – 1 1/2 tbsp
  4. Rice flour                                     – 2 tsp
  5. Gram flour (besan)                       – 1 tsp
  6. Red chili powder                          – 2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder                         – ¼ tsp
  8. Cumin powder                              – ¼ tsp
  9. Garam masala powder                  – ¼ tsp
  10. Ginger – garlic paste                      – 1 tsp
  11. Lemon juice                                    – 1 tsp
  12. Green chili                                      – 1 (finely chopped)
  13. Egg                                                  – 1
  14. Red food colour                              – a pinch (optional)
  15. Salt                                                  – to taste
  16. Oil                                                    – for deep frying
Preparation
  1. Combine together all the above ingredients, except chicken and oil, in a bowl adding one or two tbsp water. Marinate the chicken pieces in the prepared batter and refrigerate for about 2 – 3 hours. 
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame (the oil should not be too hot or else the chicken pieces will get browned outside and uncooked inside) and fry the marinated chicken pieces till done turning the sides occasionally. 
  3. Serve hot with chapati or roti.
