Chicken Kuruma
Ingredients
- Chicken - 1 kilo
- onion - 3 nos (chopped)
- ginger -garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
- green chilli paste - 2 tbsp
- potato - 2
- Yoghurt - 2 tsp
- cashew paste - 3 tbsp
- Thick coconut milk -1 cup
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 4
- Cardamom - 5
- Pepper powder - 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
- Curry leaves - 1/4 cup
- Oil
- Salt
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cinnamon stick,cloves and cardamom.
- Now add ginger garlic paste, chilli paste and saute till the raw smell is gone.
- To this add chopped onions and saute until translucent.
- Add coriander powder, pepper powder, salt, chicken pieces, potato and mix well.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Add coconut milk, cashew paste, yoghurt to this cooked chicken gravy.
- Allow it to come to a boil, add coriander leaves and curry leaves.
- Switch off the flame and Serve hot.
