Malabar Chicken Curry
Malabar chicken curry is an aromatic chicken dish from Kerala. It is a simple dish that comes to your rescue when there are unexpected guests.we can prepare this curry within half an hour provided all ingredients are ready.This recipe is little spicy but you can cut down the spicy ingredients or add some coconut milk.Here I am not adding coconut milk.Serve with Ghee rice or chapati.Really worth trying!

- Chicken - 500 g
- Onion(finely chopped) - 2 nos
- Tomato (diced) - 2 nos
- Ginger-Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
- Green Chillies - 3
- Potato(peeled & cubed) - 1
- Chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 3 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Coriander Leaves
- Salt
- Oil
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add chopped onions & curry leaves.
- Saute onion till it becomes soft.
- Add the ginger garlic paste till the raw smell goes off.
- Add tomato & chilli pieces.
- when the oil starts to separate, add all spice powders and salt.
- Add potato, medium chicken pieces and one cup of water.
- Close the lid and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
