Preparation

Making meatballs

  • Mix minced meet, bread crumbs and parmesan cheese very well. Add the other ingredients in between and mix for 4 to 5 minutes. After mixing properly, form it to  balls by using your  palms. The above mentioned ingredients should be good enough for making 18 to 20 balls. Don’t make the balls in large size, it may cause uncooked meatballs.

Cooking of the Meatballs
  • There are many methods to cook these. The original way is getting this boiled with the curry/sauce which we are going to make with tomatoes. But for us, this may not be sufficient, especially if the meat is of beef. So, either you can pan fry by occasionally flipping or shallow fry with olive oil so that it will get well done when we boil it in the curry.

Curry / Sauce
  • Pour 3 table spoon of oil in a pan and put chopped onion and garlic in to that. Fry for a few minutes till the colour of the onion turns to brown. Put basil leaves and mix it. Now you can pour the tomato puree. No water should be added. Add salt to taste, one teaspoon sugar and black pepper and mix well. Cook it for 10 minutes on low flame.
Once you feel a good taste and aroma, you can add the fried meatballs into the curry and continue cooking for another 8 to 10 minutes.

Spaghetti

  • Put 500g spaghetti into 5 litres of water and boil it. Don’t break the spaghetti. Initially, only 1/3rd of the length will be in water, when the water gets boiled, the immersed part will get smoothen and the remaining portion of the spaghetti will fall into the water. Add 1 table spoon of salt to the boiling water. Cook until spaghetti becomes tender.Drain excess water by using  strainer.

Presentation

  • Take spaghetti in a bowl, Pour 3 to 4 table spoon of the sauce into that and mix it so that you get a slight red coating on spaghetti with tomato sauce. Then pour some more curry on the top of the spaghetti uniformly and  place the meatballs on the top. Again pour rest of curry on top of meatballs. Serve it hot.
