Rava Ladoo



Ingredients

  1. Semolina (Rava)            -  1 cup
  2. Dried coconut                -  1 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar                              -  1 1/4 cup
  4. Melted Ghee                   -  1/2 cup
  5. Cardamom powder         -  1/2 tsp 
  6. saffron (kesar) strands    -  a pinch
Preparation
  1. Dry roast the  rava in a non - stick pan on slow flame for 3 minutes.
  2. Switch off the flame, add the dried coconut and mix well.
  3. Take sugar in a thick bottomed pan with 1 cup of water. cook on a medium flame for 5-6 minutes while stirring occasionally.put saffron strands to this syrup.keep this aside to cool slightly.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan, add rava-coconut mixture to this and cook on medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Add cardamom powder, sugar syrup and mix well.
  6. We can add roasted cashews and raisins to this mixture if we want.
  7. Transfer this mixture to a plate and let it cool down for 2 hours.
  8. Take a small portion out of this dough and make it to a round ladoo.
  9. We can store this in a air-tight container for a week at room temperature.
